Brendan Basham and Reymont Cantil Present:
Estuarine Project

On January 1st, 2006 in Hoquiam, Washington; Tristan Atene Basham went missing. After an evening’s outing, Tristan stepped out into the New Year and was never seen again. He apparently he fell into the night's waters. In February, his body was found along the banks of Gray's Harbor; he was twenty-one.

In an attempt to reconcile the mystery of their brother's death, Reymont and Brendan began an exploration of loss using photographic media. The decision to make art out of grief was immediate. Entitled "Estuarine", the installation aims to gather clues and images from the memories of Tristan's brothers bridges with the collective imagination of the audience.
