Sharon Seligman
Bearing Witness: Beyond the Surface of Breast Cancer

Diagnosed with breast cancer herself, Sharon Seligman intends "Bearing Witness: Beyond the Surface of Breast Cancer" to be a voice of inspiration. While breast cancer can be devastating, and sometimes fatal, it can also be a less traveled path of knowing oneself. A second chance to recognize what matters. Images demystify. Stories clarify. The candor of the photographs and text give people permission to ask, and to learn without awkwardness. Sharon openly exposes the graphic nature of the images and text in an attempt to promote viewers to attend to the messages our bodies send.

Robert Weingarten

Robert Weingarten's sumptuously colored and patterned landscapes of the Pacific Northwest display exquisite composition & tonal range . Weingarten is drawn to the way forms repeat in nature. His pictures engage in a dialogue with the history of painting while exploiting the camera's descriptive abilities. His dazzling matrix of golden fields, lush grasses and radiant skies make obvious references to Impressionism in content and form yet retain a uniquely photographic clarity. Robert's work is in the collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Monterey Museum of Art and the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas. In 2001 he was awarded the distinction Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society in Bath, England.
