Robert
Weingarten's sumptuously colored and patterned landscapes of the
Pacific Northwest display exquisite composition & tonal range
. Weingarten is drawn to the way forms repeat in nature. His pictures
engage in a dialogue with the history of painting while exploiting
the camera's descriptive abilities. His dazzling matrix of golden
fields, lush grasses and radiant skies make obvious references to
Impressionism in content and form yet retain a uniquely photographic
clarity. Robert's work is in the collection of the Los Angeles County
Museum of Art, Monterey Museum of Art and the Museum of Fine Arts
in Houston, Texas. In 2001 he was awarded the distinction Fellow
of the Royal Photographic Society in Bath, England.
